My EPQ - Week 5 - Date : 15/OCT/25 - 13/OCT/25

Week 4, The starting and everything that i have done so far on my EPQ.
In week 1 i did many mind-maps, exploring what i could do for my EPQ theme, i did research into different pathways and areas that i could explore for my EPQ, i thought of a range of different things and ideas making sure that i am positive and decided in what i will be doing.
For the second week of my EPQ journey, i began yet more mind-maps and mood-boards, making sure that i can really portray all of my ideas down on to paper, noting it down. i filled the pieces of A3 paper really heavily, making sure to use as much paper as needed / possible as well as getting any ideas i could thinking of at the time down and noted.

On week 3, i took part in a lesson where we covered the entire classroom floor in paper, and some lied down while some did the drawing on the floor, week 3 was inspired by Tony Orrico, we tried his way / technique of drawing, where you lie on the ground and wave your arms around and draw around you, as you wave around your arms , it creates an almost circular shape around you, i really liked this techniques as its a interesting and unique way of artistic expression and it can really get deep sometimes. i think that its a unique and interesting way to get your emotions across through your art and i really enjoyed and like that about this technique.

I really like Tony Orricos are and style, as well as technique.
I find it really experimental but i find that it works really well and i think that it really gets all of his feelings and ideas across really well. i really like how every circle that he creates all seem to turn out different and unique, much like his pieces themselves, i really like these factors and aspects of his art, i think it makes him a great artist.
he gets a lot of pencil up his arms and i find this funny as when I'm creating i usually get pencil up my arms as well.

I've watched videos on how he creates his art and the whole process behind it, i find it really interesting and cool how he works, its a really creating form of expression and its super unique and i love how his artwork turns out.

I chose to do my Tony Orrico inspired piece on the wall, Both laying down/sitting down and standing up and doing the art on the wall are ways of working how he does, so i chose to work on the wall with a few more people as well.
while doing this process, i held 2 sticks of heavy graphite and did circular motions on the giant paper, creating some really cool marks and looks to the paper and drawings itself, i continued this process and found that it was going super well, i collaborated with some other classmates of this piece of work. i think that the piece pf work appeared differently to everyone, to me it reminded me of an orange. {will get pictures soon and possibly/hopefully update them on the next blog}.

After a-lot of drawing and mark marking on the paper in wavey, big, stretched and long motions, the piece was done, I've never created something that had looking like this before, i really like it and i found it really really interesting, to look at but also to think about.

After everyone has taking pictures of the two art pieces, the big and smaller one, after building the paper and working on it, everyone cut a few squares / pieces out of the work and took it home, i got a few pieces of my work as well, and i will put them into my blog soon. i really found this technique super interesting and i think that it created some really cool outcomes and really nice sharp, yet fuzzy line work!

Here are some photos of me doing the tony orrico work -

Overall, I enjoyed this, and found this task and Toni orricos work inspiring and unique, and I think it really has a touch of his individuality as a person and as an artist too as well, and I really love his work and I like how my work turned out for this as well too!
