Agata Zych was born on 29th December 1996. She is an animation director and illustrator from Poland. She has both a Batchelor's and a Masters degree from the University of Arts in Poznari, both in the field of animation. Her films have been showcased in film festivals world wide, including Poland, the USA, Germany, Italy, China, Bangladesh, and more. She has a particular interest in documentary and brings a unique perspective to her projects. Her dedication to storytelling through animation reflects a commitment to exploring and capturing real life narratives. She conducts drawing and painting workshops for children. Beyond the artistic sphere she is a skiing instructor. She travels a lot, loves music and aerial skills. i think this is really interesting!!
She produces, directs, and animates her films which to date are Uncle Paul (2016), Tosik (2018), Anthropocene (2020), Wedrowka Swiatia (2023), Wander of Light (2023). She continues to work on individual projects in publishing, advertising and animation. i find this really cool.
I really love it, I find that it looks childish and playful, yet refined and personal and I really like that about her artworks.
She specialises in working in the educational aspect of filmmaking, where children are the main inspirations and protagonists of her work. One of her films, Anthropocene, was created together with pre-schoolers and got worldwide recognition at film festivals. She aims to create stories where a child's imagination is represented and defined in a certain way while not being limited to any. She feels that animation gives her infinite possibilities, especially regarding the visual side. She says 'I could document impressions and thoughts most naturally while setting them in an abstract space and style. All of that helped me create a story based on impressions and images'. She uses three different styles deliberately that change depending on the narrative to emphasise the children's diversity and to reflect each characters style. She is guided by the concept of a fairy tale. She wants to continue to combine educational and artistic practices. I really love how her artwork is and i really like the style of it and the meaning behind it as well too!
I find the almost chunkyness of the art kind of satisfying and the shape within it nice and sharp and I really like how the shapes are also very childish, I find this very unique and a cool thing to achieve and I really love her artworks overall!
I really love this last one here, of the 2 children, it reminds me of cavemen, and I really love the style. I loke the line work, it reminds me alot of the band work for Gorillaz, and I really like the emotion and feeling its giving, I think it may be my favourite artwork of hers currently.
Overall I really love Agata Zychs artwork and I think its really interesting, unique, detailed, creative, depthful and amazing and cool,
I really think that Agata Zychs work is epic!
